On 29 June, Ventura, one of P&O Cruises’ flagship vessels, returned to the Port of Santander, strengthening the long-standing relationship between the British cruise line and the Cantabrian capital.
The ship berthed at the Maritime Station (Almirante) from 9:30 AM to 9:00 PM, arriving from Southampton and continuing its voyage to Vigo. During its call, Ventura carried up to 3,300 passengers, predominantly from the United Kingdom, together with a crew of around 1,200.
Thanks to its privileged berth in the city centre, passengers were able to enjoy Santander’s waterfront, local gastronomy, shops and cultural attractions, while many also joined organised excursions to discover some of Cantabria’s most iconic landmarks, landscapes and heritage sites.
As one of the largest cruise ships to visit Santander on a regular basis, Ventura has become a familiar presence in the port’s annual cruise calendar. Its repeated calls reflect the confidence that P&O Cruises places in Santander’s modern cruise facilities, operational efficiency and the wide range of authentic experiences available throughout the region.
