The Port of Santander will continue its busy cruise schedule in early June 2026 with the arrival of two major international cruise ships: Ventura, operated by P&O Cruises, and Amera, from the German cruise line Phoenix Reisen.
Both calls will bring thousands of visitors to the city and further strengthen Santander’s position as one of the leading cruise destinations in northern Spain.
Ventura to Arrive on Monday, June 1
The first vessel to arrive will be the Ventura, scheduled to call at Santander on Monday, June 1, 2026. The ship is expected to berth at the Maritime Station (Almirante) from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
Operated by the British company P&O Cruises, the Ventura will arrive from Southampton before continuing its voyage to Vigo. With an impressive length of 288.6 metres, the ship can accommodate up to 3,300 passengers, mainly British guests, along with a crew of approximately 1,200 members.
Around 10 excursions across Cantabria are expected to be organised for passengers during the visit, pending final confirmation.
Amera to Visit Santander on Wednesday, June 3
Two days later, on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, Santander will welcome the elegant cruise ship Amera, operated by the German cruise line Phoenix Reisen.
The vessel is scheduled to dock at the Maritime Station between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, arriving from La Coruña and departing later for Le Verdon, France.
The Amera measures 205 metres in length and can carry approximately 835 passengers, mostly German travellers, together with a crew of up to 480 members.
The arrival of both cruise ships is expected to generate a significant positive impact on local tourism and businesses, as visitors explore Santander and enjoy Cantabria’s culture, gastronomy, shopping, and natural landscapes.
With these new calls, Santander continues to strengthen its reputation as a strategic cruise destination along Europe’s Atlantic coast.
