Santander welcomed VidantaWorld’s Elegant for the first time on Saturday, October 3rd, marking the ship’s inaugural call at the Port of Santander.
Operated by Vidanta Cruises, the 153-metre vessel arrived from A Coruña and berthed at the Maritime Station from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, before continuing its itinerary towards Bordeaux.
With capacity for up to 300 passengers and 252 crew members, guests had the opportunity to spend the afternoon discovering Santander and exploring the tourism, cultural and gastronomic attractions of Cantabria.
To commemorate this first visit, the traditional plaque exchange ceremony took place on board, marking VidantaWorld’s Elegant’s inaugural call in Santander.
Thanks to the Maritime Station’s central location, passengers can easily access the city centre directly from the port. The Tourist Information Office at the terminal was also open during the call, providing visitors with information and recommendations to help them make the most of their stay.
The arrival of VidantaWorld’s Elegant adds a new ship to Santander’s 2026 cruise season and reinforces the destination’s position as a welcoming port of call for cruise lines visiting the Cantabrian coast.
