Yesterday,on Friday, July 17th, the Arcadia, operated by P&O Cruises, called at the Port of Santander, marking its third visit to the Cantabrian capital following previous calls in 2019 and 2025.
The vessel berthed at the Maritime Station (Almirante) from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, arriving from Gijón and continuing its voyage to Guernsey. During its stay, the ship brought up to 2,500 passengers, the majority of them British, together with a crew of approximately 855.
Throughout the day, visitors had the opportunity to discover Santander and explore some of Cantabria’s most iconic attractions through a wide range of shore excursions. Thanks to the Maritime Station’s prime location in the heart of the city, passengers were able to enjoy easy access to Santander’s cultural, gastronomic and commercial attractions, while many others ventured further afield to experience the region’s natural beauty and heritage.
The return of the Arcadia once again highlights the strong relationship between P&O Cruises and the Port of Santander, reinforcing the city’s position as one of the leading cruise destinations on Spain’s northern coast. The growing number of repeat calls demonstrates the confidence that cruise lines place in Santander’s modern facilities, outstanding visitor experience and the wide variety of exclusive experiences available just a short distance from the port.
