Last Friday (05/04/2024), the cruise ship Spirit of Adventure, operated by the British cruise line Saga, made an unscheduled stop at the pier of the Maritime Station of Santander. This decision was prompted by adverse weather forecasts, leading the vessel to alter its itinerary and dock in Santander from 11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
This is not the first time the Spirit of Adventure has visited Santander, having made two previous stops in 2021 and 2022. The unexpected arrival marks the early commencement of the cruise season in Santander, providing an early glimpse into what promises to be an exciting season ahead.
The next scheduled stop at the port will be by the Ventura on Monday, April 22nd. Santander welcomes cruise ships and their passengers, offering a warm reception and a wealth of attractions to explore in the vibrant destination of Cantabria.
