Silver Dawn Returns to Santander Just Days After Its Inaugural Call

Santander welcomed Silver Dawn back to the city on Monday, October 5th, just over a week after the Silversea ship made its inaugural call at the Port of Santander on September 27th.

The 212.8-metre luxury cruise ship arrived from Vigo and berthed at the Maritime Station at 8:00 AM. It will remain in Santander until 11:00 PM, giving its guests a full day to discover the city and explore the cultural, natural and gastronomic attractions of Cantabria before continuing its itinerary towards Bilbao.
Silver Dawn can accommodate up to 690 passengers and 425 crew members.

The ship first visited Santander on September 27th, arriving from Bilbao with 556 passengers and 413 crew members on board. During that inaugural call, the traditional plaque exchange ceremony was held to commemorate Silver Dawn’s first visit to the Port of Santander. Guests also had the opportunity to explore the destination independently or through a programme of organised excursions.

Its return only eight days later marks Silver Dawn’s second call in Santander and further strengthens the presence of Silversea in the destination.
Located in the heart of the city, Santander’s Maritime Station provides cruise guests with direct access to the city centre, while the Tourist Information Office located inside the terminal offers information, maps and recommendations to help passengers make the most of their time in Santander and Cantabria.
