Santander to Welcome Two Cruise Ships on 19 May 2026

Santander is set for another busy day of cruise activity on Tuesday 19 May 2026, with the arrival of two international cruise ships bringing visitors from across the world to the Cantabrian capital.

The luxury vessel Silver Spirit, operated by Silversea Cruises, will dock at the Maritime Station (Almirante) from 8:00 am until 11:00 pm. The ship arrives from Vigo and will continue its journey to Bilbao. With a length of 210.7 metres, the vessel can carry up to 650 passengers, mainly American tourists, as well as around 410 crew members.

Joining it in Santander on the same day will be the expedition cruise ship SH Diana, from the company Swan Hellenic. The vessel is scheduled to berth at Maliaño 1/4 between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm. Coming from Gijón and heading onwards to Bordeaux, the ship measures 125 metres and is expected to arrive with approximately 195 passengers and up to 140 crew members on board.

The double cruise call is expected to generate significant activity throughout the city, benefiting local businesses, restaurants and tourist attractions as passengers spend the day discovering Santander and the wider Cantabria region.

Cruise tourism remains an important driver for the local economy and an excellent showcase for Santander’s maritime character, cultural heritage and exceptional gastronomy.
