Santander Cruise Deluxe Promotes Cantabria as a Cruise Destination at the International Cruise Summit

Santander Cruise Deluxe took part this week in the 15th edition of the International Cruise Summit (ICS), Europe’s leading cruise industry conference, held in Madrid. As a sponsor of the event, the brand presented the strengths of Cantabria and Santander as exceptional cruise destinations.

The summit gathered top industry professionals — cruise lines, ports, tour operators, and travel companies — to discuss the sector’s key challenges and opportunities, including sustainability, safety, and the application of AI-driven technologies at sea.

Representatives from Santander Cruise Deluxe also invited several cruise lines to take part in a fam trip to experience first-hand the region’s diverse attractions and exclusive excursions located within a short distance from the port.

According to Sophie Lanos, Cruise Manager at the Port Authority of Santander, “Santander offers a beautiful entry through its Bay, a centrally located Maritime Station, and exclusive experiences very close to the berth — allowing visitors to make the most of their time at destination.”

Cantabria has closed 2025 with 20 cruise calls, and more than 30 are already expected for 2026, confirming the region’s growing appeal as an authentic and high-quality destination for cruise travelers.
