The luxury cruise ship of the British cruise Line Saga Cruises, registered by Pérez y Cía, docked again in Santander!
She was coming from Gijón and departed for Bilbao at 8pm.
The Spirit of Adventure is 236 metres long and 31.2 metres wide and has came with 850 (mosto f them British) as well as 550 crew members. Nearly all of them have been able to take advantage of their stay in Cantabria to visit the city of Santander during the day, as well as Santillana del Mar.
For the organisation of cruise calls and the promotion of cruise tourism, the Port Authority of Santander, the Government of Cantabria and the City Council of Santander have created the brand Santander Cruise Deluxe, with the aim of promoting Cantabria as a cruise destination. With the arrival of the Spirit of Adventure this joint effort has been demonstrated once again with the contribution of plans and support of staff by the City Council of Santander, while the regional government has laid on a group of pipers and tambourine players to welcome cruise passengers to Santander.
